Director of Customer Excellence, Bron Afon
Being new to the housing sector means I bring an external perspective along with a wealth of experience working in senior roles in both public and private sector. My experience in bringing together organisations to tackle shared challenges through innovation, design services and deliver major business change means I have a well-developed, UK wide network across a range of sectors.
My career began developing and building the brands of leading household names such as Carphone Warehouse and Twinings. I returned to Wales to take up a senior role with Cardiff Council, where I was responsible for creating and transforming services to give customers improved access to essential services and experiences, whilst building and managing the organisation’s reputation in a challenging political environment.
Before joining housing, I was Director of Communications and Customer Experience for Natural Resources Wales - part of a team responsible for creating this new environmental body for Wales that merged the Environment Agency, Countryside Council for Wales and Forestry Commission building a new organisation and set of essential services from scratch.
Seeing the enormous potential to build communities in Wales that are fit for the future outcomes across all seven of the Wellbeing Goals in Wales gives me an enormous energy. I want to play an active role in helping to convene the best housing ideas and brains on the Housing Futures Programme and enabling the delivery of innovation.
I have a personal interest in tackling mental health impacts on young people and environmental sustainability.
